Veterinarian s Best Hypoallergenic

I couldn’t put this book down! The chemistry between all the characters was amazing! I laughed, cried, and smiled throughout this book. I felt Jacobs sorrow for his parents, his compassion for the animals, and his love for Marlena. This book also makes you appreciate life and makes you appreciate being young and able bodied. Can’t wait to see it in the theater!

This is a great pedometer for those striving to increase their exercise routine as it gives not only steps and distance but also aerobic steps and calories burned(always too few). It has a seven day memory so you can review your efforts. My favorite feature is that you can carry it in your pocket(it comes with a clip so it won’t fall out of your pocket or purse).

I have just now completed a leisurely reading of “Artemis Fowl”. I loved every page of it, too. Now then, I came here to Amazon in order to boy ALL of the books in the series, but then I discovered that this book is supposed to be a children’s series?!?

What? Well, I think not. I am very much an adult, a retired High School Teacher and the proud father of 4 now-grown kids. My wife and kids tell me that I am really just a grown-up kid, but that is only after I spray someone in the yard with the water hose.

This book is great fantasy/adventure reading for adults. Sure, there are some trite phrases, and a decided lack of sex and violence — well, except “cartoon-style” violence … so, OK, I guess it is a “G Rated” book. Personally I am happy with “G” Ratings.

Forthwith I am ordering all books featuring Artemis Fowl and his adventures. The author writes very much in the same vein as Talbot Mundy — a young person’s adventure writer of some years past. I liked it and I am looking forward to reading the rest of Master Fowl’s adventures.

This book has serious problems, but it certainly achieves its goals of entertaining the female reader with an indulgent fantasy romance. I read all 4 books in 1 night. I was initially embarrassed to have enjoyed them so much but I have to accept that I am also victim of being a girl so here’s me embracing it.

Why it’s good:
1) Stephanie Meyers may secretly be a genius, but from the way the book takes itself so seriously I think she doesn’t even know she’s doing it, and by it I mean she’s got her teeth sunk into the neck of the secret ultimate fantasy of every teenage girl in the universe.

Exhibit A:
Hot, 100-year-old virgin Edward Cullen is what girls secretly long for: a rich (obscenely rich), physically beautiful (poorly written, repetitive descriptions of Edward’s hotness literally accompany every mention of the guy), physically strong (strength emphasized by him saving her life all the time and by the narrator constantly claiming to be clumsy and otherwise even more physically impaired than the average human), morally upright (Bella often swoons and marvels over Edward’s self control and moral compass, ie. his ability to not rape/destroy her even though he easily could and sort of wants to and she loves that he wants to and loves even more that he doesn’t), old fashioned gentleman (super protective and jealous provider who wants to take care of her so she doesn’t need to do anything), respectful (lets Bella do what she wants most of the time even if that means making out with other guys), and obsessed in love with his girl (their declarations of love are over the top and they would literally rather die than live without each other).
This last obsessed love thing is a key element to a good love story. Because I think teenagers most feel this level of single minded infatuation with strangers and girls especially have an egotistical fantasy that they are the Only One for their dream man- that even though he’s a super hot guy he’s a 100 year old virgin because

I don’t know how long it’ll last but it’s cheap and it works perfectly.

I had to wait almost two weeks for it because it got lost in the mail. But the replacement arrived in like 1-2 days.

One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Loved the story, the style, and the realness of the characters. It’s sad and funny and thought provoking. Can’t ask for much else. Only criticism: the characters are a little black and white (really good or really bad):) But, that’s okay, it’s still a wonderful read. Maybe the author will write a sequel? I’d buy it.
