Digital Telephoto Professional 2x suck

You’ll have to look for an important sentence before you buy Windows PowerPoint home/student edition. It is not allowed for commercial use. That includes showing your presentation to any sort of audience – whether they pay to get in or not. Consequently you can only create presentations for your own amusement, I guess.

That was not brought forth in my purchase of PowerPoint and I’m damned mad that Microsoft got my 99 dollars without very clearly – in headline sized type – telling me the product is useless because I can’t show the presentation to anyone. I don’t know what the punishment might be. A personal whipping from Bill Gates, a fine, or what?

I’m glad to have found this out BEFORE I went to the expense of learning how to use it. I’ll just download something else – once I’ve determined they don’t care how I use it, and I guess I just eat the $99.

About Vivitar 2x Teleconverter 4

I really wanted to like this unit, and was very excited to try it out, but it’s going back after two days.
I bought this as an upgrade/replacement for a heart rate monitor, because I train for triathlon and am running my first half marathon this spring. On my first run, it was very easy to set up, sync up, and find satellites, and it worked beautifully. Unfortunately, however, as it is winter and I also enjoy spinning classes and indoor interval work in my training, this unit is going back.
Though it has a heart rate monitor, this is only used for telling you a current heart rate. The GPS is necessary in order to calculate calories burned, despite having my age, heart rate, activity, weight, and gender, and so this does not function on indoor mode, or in a gym, or on a trainer or spin bike. As such, through an spin class and an hour of lifting weights, I burned no calories, but on the drive home, I quickly went through like 58.
It’s pretty useless for people who want to do anything other than walk, run, and bike outdoors in clear weather, away from buildings. If you are in that niche market, I imagine it’s great, but for me, it is already on its way back.

You need to attend a class to figure out how to use this program. I needed to author a couple of simple three fold brochures, and while having online templates are nice, the formatting issues are very time consuming to work around. I did finish one brochure, using Word 2007, but it took hours. My Software Business Publisher, a simple program that cost $9.95 took 20 minutes to do the same task on the second one, and it is compatible with off-the-shelf office forms from Avery etc. So not real excited here.

I needed to write a sales report. Note: Word 2007, is not a compatible format for people running Office 97, so you need to save it in the older format if your e-mailing the finish document to someone and you want to be sure they can open it. In addition, I found that the software itself lacks an intuitive feel.

These products have proliferated themselves into the business community so I guess it is
required, but in the case of Word, the better software product didn’t win the day, an old copy of Corel’s Word Perfect is still better in regards to tools, ease of use and functionality in regards to writing a document.

In regards to Alzheimer’s, sorry if I am being a little too glib but the software just doesn’t seem to remember my recent documents for more than a day.

Go figure.
