New Dancing Orleans to low class
I don’t know what this book is about, but it is definitely not about vampires or love. Especially not about vampires wasting their time in high school in a remote area of Washington. Thanks, Smeyer, by the way, for saying Washington is always overcast. You have obviously never been inside the state. Even Seattle gets its sunshine.
The main characters are shallow, one dimensional psychos. Bella lets Edward tramp all over her, doesn’t make her own friends, and allows Edward to set her standards and boundaries. What a wonderful boyfriend, protecting her, stalking her, watching her sleep… wait, what? Yeah. He watches her sleep. And stalks hers. Bella somehow finds the only rape gang in Tacoma, Washington and he manages to “save” her because, throughout the entire book, Edward beats it into her head that she can’t stand up and save herself. (Also, if you’ve never been to Tacoma, I can tell you with perfect honesty that it is a very suitable place. It is basically the retirement area for Seattle’s old people… it is not a bad place to go. Thanks again, Smeyer.) I used to think of better things to fantasize when I was 12.
Also let’s not go into the fact that Bella has never had a boyfriend ever, and can’t even stand to stay conscious when Edward kisses her. He’s a virgin. There is no way he’s that talented. Umm. There’s also this thing about this being a “forbidden” romance. Who in the entire series even says that they can’t be together? Not even the Vampire Mafia says no to their uniting. It is ridiculous. There is no plot. Ever. At all. Except for like 3 pages. When Bella is really stupid.
Girls who read this are going to think this is somehow romantic, but no. This is mental. I will not even go into Smeyer’s werewolves, because as soon as I finished the series I wanted to burn it. The Indians are the bad people, being a bad influence on Bella (like, letting her be her own person), who give her caffeine and freedom outside of a kitchen. I was sick of the blatant Mo

Is Friend s New Cooper suck?
For what I paid, the product was satisfactory and in excellent condition. However, the Shipping & Handling fee was almost the price of the book which will be a consideration the next time. It took a long time to receive the book – almost a month.

Arrival New Boy Baby deal
I like everything about this product except one thing…it is hard to snap onto the holder. That is OK when the unit is not active but when it is active I found the pressure from the back to snap this in caused my Garmin to default to a frozen position. Really annoying when I’m in a hurry to start it up and find something local.

Sick about NEW Dog Toy Roadkill
I guess I’m in the minority. I really wanted to like this book but I hated it. I hated the old man parts. It was such an irritating plot device. I didn’t find old Jacob lovable, I found him annoying. Young Jacob was an alright character but Marlena was like some kind of cardboard cut out. I mean she was just there. She was the most boring love interest I have ever read. August was pretty cool. There were a few good moments between August & Jacob but then a ridiculous plot twist or jumping back to old Jacob ended most of them abruptly. It was like the author didn’t know what to do so she just went back to the old people’s home & talked about jello until she figured out what would happen next. I felt like Jacob’s kindness towards the animals should have taken a center stage so you could really like him for something but this rarely happened. When the old carnie takes Jacob under his wing I found myself asking WHy?? It didn’t really make any sense so I just told myself that he must be a really nice man, he seems to have some depth maybe oh now lets throw him off the train What?? Jacob grieves for his friends for half a paragraph & then he’s off to bang Marelena wtf ? The only redeeming parts of the book were Jacob’s relationship with the dwarf & the old carnie whose name has slipped my mind. There were three parts that i actually found believable & thought provoking. First was Jacob’s reaction to his parents death which was real & written well. Second was when Queenie the dog can’t be found, that was pretty heart-wrenching. Third is Jacob’s decision not to murder August. These parts were interesting & had more depth in describing the character’s motives & feelings. The ending was a slap in the face & i hate that old Jacob in the nursing home. I think the movie has a chance though. Hopefully Reese Witherspoon can make Marlena seem less vapid.

One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Loved the story, the style, and the realness of the characters. It’s sad and funny and thought provoking. Can’t ask for much else. Only criticism: the characters are a little black and white (really good or really bad):) But, that’s okay, it’s still a wonderful read. Maybe the author will write a sequel? I’d buy it.

I bought this book for my son years ago – and it got stuck on his bookshelf – sadly he never read it. As he is now in college (I did say “years ago”) and I am housecleaning I decided to give it a go before donating it to a local charity organization. What a pleasant surprise. Artemis Fowl is quite a character – a criminal mastermind at 12 years old – and a loveable character at that. As others have said it isn’t Harry Potter but it doesn’t have to be. It is fun and full of humor that adults can also get a chuckle out of. I am off to the store for Book #2.

Okay, when I read all the great reviews for the touch, I was a bit worried about them all being apple junkies. I am not an apple junkie, in fact, this is the first apple product I have owned, but I have to say I love it. This device is amazing. It blows my old PDA out of the water completely, and yes, I did buy this as a PDA first, music player second. Some of the calendar functions are not as nice as my PDA, but some functions are better. For example, you can’t put in a repeating event on a certain day of the week each month (like 1st Tuesday each month). However, it does sync with Outlook (iCal on Mac) so I can just input those appointments on my desktop computer. The calendar function does have many cool features that my PDA didn’t, though. The touch screen keyboard is SO much easier than using a stylus. The apps are endless and awesome. The MP3 player is awesome, and I can use it at the same time as most other programs. OS 4 coming out will even allow for bluetooth keyboards! I can’t imagine anyone buying this and not loving it. Just don’t buy the 8gb, it’s not enough room. The only thing that I really wish it had is a camera, but it’s not that big of a deal compared to the multitude of other functions it has.

Good Fat New The for good
Thankfully the book was written for the lay person which made it easier to follow. The material may have been a bit redundant at times but they did drive home a point. I couldn’t make much sense out of the graphs but I suspect my physician will explain that to me since he was the one who recommended the book. Over all it has me more focused on what is listed on the package and the amount of fat I’m putting into my system.

New The Internals UNIX result
I am very surprised that this book is largely get overlooked by Unix society. I read this book for over 2 years, I’m still frequently revisit it. The beautities of the book are 1. The information is up-to-date, a lot of information is summarized from latest Usenix proceedings 2. Topics involved are moderate to advanced, assuming you have enough basic knowledge on Unix Internals, such as those from BACH’s book. So it focused on SMP, threaded kernel, virtual file system/journal FS. VM/Fs integration. It fillin the gap for those reader who need to know the progress of current Unixes of current Unixes since mid 80’s 3. Solutions and comparisions. The author detailed different solutions on flavour of Unixes, including BSD, SVR4, Solaris (although derived from SVR4), OSF, and the legend MACH. This is the gem of the book, it outlined pro and con of each solution that brodened user’s mind. 4. Well balanced contents. The author keep well balance between mechanism and implementaion detail, so that it is detail enough for reader to grasp the essence algorithm but not embroil into topic-irrevalant mess that may distract reader’s attention.
This is a fasinating Unix internal book on market that can take the reader into the Unixes forest, in the meantime, keep readers a clear view about the forest evolution and landscape.
The book is not for Unix beginner.
