This book is TERRIFIC. I couldn’t put it down. I read it in a few days, gave it to my mom to read, and she read it in a few days, too. It is one-of-a-kind and I can’t wait until they make it into a movie… (I’m hoping they will!)

After 2 non shedding dogs, I adopted a dog who sheds. I was going crazy with all the dog hair. My friend recommended the furminator. It is a very worthwhile purchase. Of course my dog still sheds but the furminator has been an enormous help. The amount of shedding has at least been cut in half and I can pet her without getting a handful of hair all over my clothes! I brush her for a few minutes about 2 times a week. I am sure if I was more vigilant in brushing, the loose hair would be eliminated completely. I definitely would buy this brush again.

I bought this SteamVac mainly to remove pet stains, and so far I have been more than satisfied. I’ve used it on my carpet and my couch, and both now look and smell great. The cleaner itself is not too heavy or bulky to use, and I have not had any of the leaking issues that I’ve seen a lot of people complain about. Any leaking is most likely due to human error in not setting up the machine properly. If the water compartments are not installed correctly, then the machine will leak. You do go through a lot of water changes while using this cleaner, but I think that is a small price to pay when you see how much dirt this thing picks up. My only gripe is that the 16 oz. bottle of cleansing solution that comes with the carpet cleaner was barely enough to do one room, so if you purchase this product, you’ll probably also want to get a 128 oz. bottle of cleansing solution as well.

Of all the items I’ve bought from Amazon, this is the first time I’ve been compelled to write a review on a product. However, the Garmin Forerunner 305 is awesome. I ordered it on a Monday, received it on Wednesday (thanks to the distribution warehouse being less than 100 miles from where I live). Initially, it looks intimidating but it really is fairly easy to figure out once you get a few minutes of time with it. The GPS function picks up satellites even inside my house, which is something that both of my vehicle GPS units cannot seem to do. It never seems to have an issue with drop outs while running. The ability to record data such as heart rate, distance, speed, pace really do add a lot to running and my workouts. Better yet, the Garmin training center software logs all your runs so that you have an easy to access record of your progress. For the price, this is an awesome piece of technology!

This is one of those wonderful reads that consumes your days and life while you’re engrossed in it. I didn’t want it to end so I tried to savor each moment. I fell in love with Rosie and wanted to sit at the circus with Jacob just to see the expression on his face. Sara Gruen takes you back to the Great Depression and makes you feel a part of the act. It surpassed my expectations and I can’t wait to discuss it at my next book club meeting!
