This book has serious problems, but it certainly achieves its goals of entertaining the female reader with an indulgent fantasy romance. I read all 4 books in 1 night. I was initially embarrassed to have enjoyed them so much but I have to accept that I am also victim of being a girl so here’s me embracing it.

Why it’s good:
1) Stephanie Meyers may secretly be a genius, but from the way the book takes itself so seriously I think she doesn’t even know she’s doing it, and by it I mean she’s got her teeth sunk into the neck of the secret ultimate fantasy of every teenage girl in the universe.

Exhibit A:
Hot, 100-year-old virgin Edward Cullen is what girls secretly long for: a rich (obscenely rich), physically beautiful (poorly written, repetitive descriptions of Edward’s hotness literally accompany every mention of the guy), physically strong (strength emphasized by him saving her life all the time and by the narrator constantly claiming to be clumsy and otherwise even more physically impaired than the average human), morally upright (Bella often swoons and marvels over Edward’s self control and moral compass, ie. his ability to not rape/destroy her even though he easily could and sort of wants to and she loves that he wants to and loves even more that he doesn’t), old fashioned gentleman (super protective and jealous provider who wants to take care of her so she doesn’t need to do anything), respectful (lets Bella do what she wants most of the time even if that means making out with other guys), and obsessed in love with his girl (their declarations of love are over the top and they would literally rather die than live without each other).
This last obsessed love thing is a key element to a good love story. Because I think teenagers most feel this level of single minded infatuation with strangers and girls especially have an egotistical fantasy that they are the Only One for their dream man- that even though he’s a super hot guy he’s a 100 year old virgin because

Enjoyed listening to these excellent musicians. The brass section combined with the string section produced such an enormous volume of concert hall music that everybody would enjoy. Definitely an asset to everyone’s music library. The combination of the different tempo of the music will surely not bore the listener but will put you in a dancing mood!

i bought this for my gf, she didnt like playign ps3 with me, she like mario and in general the games availible for wii. its fun, is very engaging, u need to physically interact with the unit. which can be more fun fore people. i adore my ps3, but im glad i could get her into gaming as well. it is totally affordable, and it made it here in two business days. so we are hapy, or she is happy which in tern makes me content kuz im happy with the ps3, its also cool that at her pad we got the wii, and at my pad the ps3 for blue rays and seriouse gaming with the boys, next step ….. she’s getting a samsung !

Coltrane and his music is really genius. The same I expect from the movie about him. Why I consider it weak:1. It is only 60 min and not all the time is for his music. DVD can fill > 3 h.2. Comments are interrupting his performance. The sessions are cut at the middle. I think I need to wait for DVD writer and create the movie that I want by myself. I want to have whole session of performance from Jazz Casual (weak picture, but the sound recording is good). I want to see as much as possible from Kind of Blue, My Favorite Things, Giants Steps and Love Supreme. I saw the parts from these sessions but I want to have all of it. I don’t care that the picture can be weak, but I want to see Coltranes fingers and hear his sax. Also for music DVD it should be the option to play only music without comments, because after couple of times you probable want to hear only music and not listen to the story.

Probably because of how stupid it is. It’s been years since I read it, but I can sum it up for you. It follows the experiences of a spoiled rotten dumbass rich kid with no drive, no motivation, no goals, no self respect. Why? Because he’s never worked a day in his life and expects the world to feel sorry for him because he has teenage angst. This kid could be considered the orginal emo without the make up. Yeah he shows signs of schitzophreina, but that really doesn’t make him more compelling or pitful. Bottom line, this is the saga of a self centered little bastard incapable of feeling any emotion for anyone save perhaps his little sister. It’s not timeless, the story teaches nothing, but creates a model of an idiot. I’ll say this though, if you are a parent and you’re kid turns out like this kid, you have failed as a parent. Mabye that’s the point of the book, but I doubt it.

The book is overhyped by the hippie crowd because they can relate to the character. As in they’re spoiled rotten rich little idiots who have never worked a day in their life and are looking for hand outs. That’s the description of the main character and the synopisis of the book. This is probably why the book has been banned so much, because it’s an insipid self centered, apathetic mockery of the human experience. A guide to living for the weak minded so called elite masses.

I traveled to London for several weeks, and was concerned about charging my laptop from all the mixed reviews I read online. The adapter worked great, and I didn’t need a power converter. Granted, it is more expensive than other adapters, but for me I loved the ease of not having to worry if anything would happen to my computer.
